Orient Travel History:

Orient Travel & Tourism Agency was established in Dubai in 1963; and which was subsequently shifted from Dubai to Sharjah in 1965 by Late Sheikh Khalid Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, who was a man with a vision in travel and tourism industry; He was also the first head of Civil Aviation in Sharjah and had the unique distinction of establishing the first flying school in Sharjah.

H. E. Sheikh Faisal Bin Khalid Al Qasimi, President of Orient Travel; is a member of ruling family of Sharjah. Having served in various prestigious positions in the government, he is a seasoned & experienced management stalwart – who has pre-empted and seen great development through the decades; in the past few years he has taken a very active role in Orient Travels. Man of quality, consistency, and steadfastness and a pillar of strength and support for all, always.

H.E. Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi is the Minister for foreign trade of U.A.E; and was previously the Minister for Economy & planning. She holds the distinction of being the first lady from UAE, to hold a ministerial post in the U.A.E Cabinet. Her talents & business skills are exceptional and with experience she has rightfully gained a foot-hold in a competitive world. She is leading & guiding member of the board; and is much sought after key-note speaker on International forums.

H.E. Sheikh Saud Bin Khalid Al Qasimi is a prominent member of the board, himself a enterprising and successful business man and investor; he has been a strong pillar of commitment & loyalty to the Orient Travel Brand. He is a solid driving force, in propelling Orient travels in their future endeavors.
He is also the advisor to H.E Sheikh Sultan, Ruler of Sharjah.

Asim Arshad is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO); The Vision & Strategy, Direction & Culture disposition has been top-class & the achievements speak for themselves. With over 33years of top-management experience in senior positions in the industry; is the “guiding light of the company” He was included as 37th in the top-50 Power List of Travel & Tourism personalities in the Middle East by coveted ATN.

Visa Section - Outbound:
We provide efficient, reliable, unique and complete out-bound visa services right from filling up of visa forms, to submission and collection of documents in Dubai & Abudhabi….for individual visa and/or group visa travel, including tourist and business visas processing. On completion of the out-bound visa process or as per collection dates…we prudently collect and deliver documents back to clients straight-away.

Auxiliary Services:
A very crucial service aspect of Orient Holidays, we are constantly updated and aware of the happenings in the trade and are appropriately geared by providing value for money solutions and our lists of auxiliary services include the following:

  • International Driving License (IDL): accepted in over 200 countries around the world; the IDL costs, AED 150.00 and the requirements for issuance are valid residence visa of UAE, clear UAE license copy, the validity of the IDL is one year from the date of issuance.
  • Travel Insurance – BUPA, AXA, Chartis and Al Buhaira are the various top-line travel insurances…that we are connected with. We are able to provide comprehensive and complete travel insurances to our passengers, customers and can tailor make an insurance based on your need (if any).
  • Private Limousine Services – (Chauffeur Driven & Car Rentals) can be arranged for all our clients through world renowned companies, either in UAE or World-wide; like Hertz, Budget, Avis, Inter-rent, Alamo or Orient Transport, Orient Tours, UCR etc.
  • Lounge Vouchers –Lounge Vouchers can be issued at all our offices for the First Class Lounge in Terminal-01; charged at AED 100.00 for 04 hours & Business Class Lounge in Terminal-01; charged at AED 90.00 for 04 hours respectively.
    P.S: A voucher needs to be carried physically and presented at the entry point for access into respective lounges.
