Orient Travel attains ISO certification |

Orient Travel has recently been awarded the ISO-9001 certification by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), a Geneva-based worldwide federation of national standard bodies, which is recognized and respected globally. This certification will be applicable throughout the network of Orient Travel comprising of 18 travel offices and 4 cargo offices and across all departments. A rigorous internal as well as external audit will make sure that the required standards of ISO are being adhered to.

New travel office open in Abu Shagara, Sharjah |

Orient Travel has opened our new office in Abu Shagara, Sharjah. The office is loacted at the Sharjah Co-operative in Abu Shagara and will cater to retail clients in and around the area. With its addition, Orient Travel now has 18 travel office in the UAE.

Orient Travel hosts golf tournament |

Participating in their first combined golf day, Orient Travel & Austrian Airlines hosted their guests at Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club on Saturday 29th November. The event proved extremely popular with 58 participants turning out, despite 40,000 people attending the Dubai Rugby 7’s being held simultaneously in the neighboring Emirate.
Playing a Betterball Stableford, Maneesh Dungarwal & Jehangir Makhdum stormed around the 18 holes in 47 points beating Asim Arshad & Mohammed Khan on count back over the last 6 holes. Third place was won by Paul Scott & Ashok Galgottia on 46 points.
The individual prize was won by lady golfer Satnam Kaur, she produced 39 individual, full handicap Stableford points.
Johannes Louw won the longest drive competition and nearest the pin prize was won by Vipen Sethi who hit a fantastic shot into the par 3 17th hole.
